Weekend Park Hop...

Sondra and I decided to try and take some photos over the weekend. The day started out pretty gloomy, but as the day rolled on, the sun began to break thru the clouds. We came across this park near Valley Park called Lydia Buder County Park. We saw a sign about radio controlled planes. We ventured on and happy to see people out enjoying their hobby. The plane pictured was my favorite not only by it's looks, but also that it sounded close to the real thing. The pilot was quite talented. He made it look as though it was a real plane.

Old Fenton, MO bridge

This is a photo I took of an old bridge in Fenton, MO. I was contacted a while back, asking if this photo could be used for an invitation. The invitation is for a Mayor's Charity Ball. Needless to say I was quite thrilled about the whole thing.

Furthering our travels, we came across this landmark that was presented to the State of Illinois by The Illinois Organization Daughters of the American Revolution, dated June 14, 1937. This is located in Vincennes, IN.

On a whim, Sondra and I decided to take a small trip to see an unusual landmark. We had seen this once before on our way to Indianapolis a long time ago an was curious. This landmark is very close to the highway. You can not miss it. Surrounding this cross are the 10 commandments. Each commandment has audio about it.
